The Destiny 2 beta is now open early to all console owners who pre-ordered the game. But you don’t need to do either to gain early entry, it turns out.
Reddit has discovered that by creating a free PSN or Xbox Live account in Singapore, Hong Kong or Japan gives you access to the early beta.
Here’s how to do it:
- Create a new user account on your console.
- Create a new online account.
- List your home in Hong Kong, Japan or Singapore. Use Google Maps to find an address.
- You’ll need to fill out the form in that country’s language. However, it is in the same order as the English form.
- Next add a working email address (that is different than your main account). You can add a +country to a gmail account and it shows up in my normal account. So, for instance: johnexample+Singapore@gmail.com.
- Confirm via the email sent you.
- Finally, sign-in to your account and head on over to the beta area to pick-up your free early access Destiny 2 code.
